The Fall Advancement Academy will be held from October 10th through 21st at Anderson Elementary School, Eastside Elementary and Anderson Intermediate School. This is an exciting experience for all ACS students Kindergarten through 8th grade. This is being offered by the Madison County Minority Health Coalition in partnership with Anderson Community School, Anderson Public Library and a host of other local organizations.
There are several activities at this year's fall academy, including Art, Photography, Martial Arts, Fashion Design, Music and Sports! Each day will begin with breakfast and time with the Anderson Public Library. During the morning hours, we will also work on the students' math and English skills. After a nutritious lunch, the students will move into different activity sessions where they will take part in hands-on activities.
Starting Monday, October 10th, the academy will begin at 8:30am and end at 3:30pm. We will also provide students with transportation to the program. The academy will have 2 field trips for students. The first one is for students K-4 on Thursday October 20th and the other field trip will be on Friday, October 21, both are free! This year, we're offering FREE registration.
