The Minority Health Coalition of Madison County (MHCMC) is an affiliate organizational member of the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC). We are a not-for-profit community-based organization designed to do the following:

Promote minority health through education, advocacy, public relations, research and leadership.

Advocate for community representation for medically underserved individuals that will bring about workable solutions to address personal, family and community health problems experienced by minority populations.

Reduce premature mortality and illness resulting from conditions to which minority populations are at high risk by stimulating awareness of and knowledge about those conditions.

Improve access to health care and services for minorities and individuals that are unable to obtain adequate care.

Ensure that health care services are of a high quality, are culturally sensitive and sufficiently coordinated.

Improve program access for youth to receive academic and activity enrichment.

Advocate on legislative and administrative policy issues that affect the availability, accessibility and quality of health care for minority populations.

Obtain funds to support the organizational goals and initiatives.
